Alliance Healthcare, Resurrection Health form partnership

Alliance Healthcare Services and Resurrection Health have formed a partnership to provide comprehensive mental health and primary care services to patients through co-location in Frayser and Whitehaven clinics.

The co-location partnership provides seamless access to patients in need of additional care. Alliance Healthcare Services is now providing services at Resurrection Health’s Whitehaven location at 5339 Elvis Presley Blvd. Resurrection Health’s physicians now see patients at Alliance Health’s Frayser location at 2150 Whitney Ave.

“As we continue to provide services to our clients we like to treat the whole person,” said Laurie Powell, Vice President of Clinical Services at Alliance Health Services. “Resurrection Health has the same treat the whole person mentality. The majority of these clients have serious issues, chronic issues. We want to provide the best care that we can for them.”

Alliance Healthcare Services is a mental health center that offers a full range of services and provides mental health services to about 14,000 clients across its outpatient services and locations each year. It also serves 11,000 annually through its Crisis Continuum, which serves the three-state area.

Resurrection Health is a faith-based health service organization that has been providing a full range of health services to the underserved in the Memphis area since launching earlier this year.

Future plans call for additional clinics to be added around Shelby County in the coming months.

Earlier this summer, Resurrection Health began working in Alliance Healthcare Services’ Frayser location. In September, Alliance started out in Resurrection’s Elvis Presley Boulevard location.

“Transportation can be a big issue with the underserved,” Powell said. “A lot of our clients don’t have full insurance. They don’t have transportation and that can become a real obstacle to providing the best care and making it feasible financially.”
