Lance Wiedower

Lance is a veteran journalist with more than 16 years of experience in newsrooms in the Memphis area as a reporter and editor, including most recently as managing editor of The Daily News. He regularly contributes to The Daily News, including a biweekly travel column, The Daily Traveler. 

Kimberly Richardson

Kimberly Richardson is an author and Acquisitions Editor of Dark Oak Press in Memphis. Ms. Richardson is also the 2015 David McCrosky Volunteer Photographer in Residence at Elmwood Cemetery; her photography is represented at IONS: A Geek Gallery in the South Main District of Downtown Memphis. 

J.D. Reager

J.D. Reager is a musician and freelance writer from Memphis, TN.  His second solo album, It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This, was released in 2014.  He lives in Midtown with his beautiful wife and two cats.
 

Lauren Berry

Lauren Berry is a junior journalism student at the University of Memphis.  She enjoys writing news and feature stories and was fortunate to sit in as a member of the press at St. Jude’s Michelle Obama press conference this past fall.  This semester she will be studying magazine writing in Florence, Italy at Palazzi, Florence University of the Arts.

Devin Greaney is a Memphis-based freelance writer and photographer who has been published in the Memphis DowntownerDeSoto Magazine and others. He works full time as an Emergency Medical Technician and had an extensive knowledge of the history and geography of the MidSouth area.  

Kate Crowder

Kate Crowder is a freelance writer and veteran educator who has taught for over a decade in public schools. The longtime Memphian and mother of three is frequently found on the stage as musician, actor, or director when not filling her role as contributor and Assistant Editor at High Ground News.

Madeline Faber

Madeline Faber is an editor and award-winning reporter. Her experience as a development reporter complements High Ground's mission to write about what's next for Memphis.



Shelley Thomas

A recent public and nonprofit administration graduate, Shelley Thomas, went from a for-profit focus to study and understand more about social responsibility and questions methods of accountability.

Amy Hoyt

Amy Hoyt is High Ground News' Community Engagement Specialist, which suits her love of Memphis and its inhabitants.
