Local artist seeks stories about the EDGE

Local artist, Robin Salant, is collecting oral stories for an ongoing project taking place in the EDGE district.  Salant's work is concept-driven and experiential, often engaging the public in execution or inception.  From interactive installation to performance art to photography, from place-making to art object, form follows function through each media.

Working within a new project named the Collabortory, Salant is gathering "tales of happenings, experiences, reminiscings, and memories" of the often overlooked EDGE district.  Businesses past and present from the Edge are cited as the Wonder Bread Factory, Sun Studios, Club 6166, Marshall Arts, the Art Farm, Space 2B, Imaginarium, LPOE, among many others.

Salant proposes that citizens are encouraged to "call with one story or one hundred".  Those who wish to participate can call (901) 602-7010 to tell their story.  Interested parties may also email their stories.
