The Commercial Appeal reported on a new study out this week indicating Memphis had the highest growth in female-owned businesses among the nation’s 25 largest cities from 2007 to 2012.
The Center for an Urban Future, a New York City think tank, points to a 116 percent increase in the number of female-owned businesses in Memphis as the fastest growth from 2007 to 2012.
