A new pipeline for tech talent

In Memphis, IT directors are struggling to find tech talent, with over 1,000 openings going unfilled. At the same time, many people are desperately seeking to change to high-paying careers. Start Co, the leading entrepreneurship development organization, founded Capital C as a bridge between the two situations. Capital C is a code school for adults who are serious about landing jobs as entry-level software and web developers.

Capital C provides immersive, bootcamp-style learning programs that equip pre-screened students with the essential skills needed to transition into high-paying jobs within one of the fastest growing job markets.

“With a national software development job growth anticipated to increase the number of unmet openings to 1 million by 2020, this problem for employers and opportunity for career transitioning adults isn’t going away anytime soon,” said Eric Mathews, CEO of Start Co. “As the first of its kind in Memphis, our employer network is looking forward to our diverse talent pipeline meeting their needs.”
