A new local project is setting community change to music. As the Memphis Music Initiative looks to transform the city, they are taking advantage of one of Memphis' most long-standing assets -- its music culture -- and using that as an anchoring point in strengthening youth outcomes.  

As the startup ecosystem grows in the city of Memphis, it’s also expanding on the city’s college and university campuses where efforts are combining to encourage entrepreneurship.  

The vision for a Downtown Creative District centers on the idea of a neighborhood where creative professionals thrive in a community of ideas.
