Youth Villages hosting virtual info series for job openings in Memphis, across 10 states

Youth Villages is hosting a series of virtual information sessions for job openings in Memphis and across Tennessee and nine other states.

The sessions include information on job responsibilities, schedule, interview process, and benefits.

The nonprofit Youth Villages provides mental and behavioral health services to youth and families, including in-home and group home services. 

In Tennessee, there are job openings in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Jackson, Murfreesboro, Colombia, Dickson, Paris, Dyersburg, Johnson City, Morristown, Cookeville, and Clarksville.

For those considering a move out of state, there are openings in North Carolina, Oregon, Massachusetts, Georgia, Mississippi, Indiana, Oklahoma, Ohio, and New Hampshire. 

Christina Comas, marketing and communications manager with Youth Villages, said in-home programs providing counseling in the home environment focused primarily on keeping kids in the family and out of foster care, detention centers, treatment centers, or other facilities, as well as reunifying the family when a child returns. It includes teaching tools for de-escalating a crisis and general parenting skills.

Comas said residential treatment series youth with significant behavioral challenges. Staff there provide crisis intervention, teach life and coping skills, ensure staff and youth are safe, and provide group, family, and individual therapy.
