White Station Middle receives national award

White Station Middle School has been named a 2015 School of Excellence by the Magnet Schools of America, a professional education association that represents more than 2,000 magnet schools across the country. These awards are given to magnet schools that show a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation and consistent delivery of a high-quality education.

"White Station is extremely proud of being recognized as a 2015 National Magnet School of Excellence based on the accomplishments of our students and teachers,” said Shawn Page, principal of White Station Middle School. “We received this award through our school's ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student diversity, and positive school culture.”

There are two categories of merit awards: Magnet Schools of Excellence, the top award given to a group of select magnet schools, and Magnet Schools of Distinction, the second highest award of recognition.

This is White Station Middle School’s fourth consecutive award from the MSA; in 2012, 2013 and 2014, the school was named a National Magnet School of Distinction.
