Ikea has announced a Dec. 14 opening date for its Memphis-area store.
Construction began on the 271,000-square-foot location in December 2015. Sprawling across 35 acres along the southwestern side of Interstate 40 near the Germantown Parkway exit, Ikea Memphis will be the international furniture retailer's first store in Tennessee.
"Customers can begin lining-up at the store on Monday, December 12, 2016 – 48 hours in advance of the doors’ opening on December 14 – and soon can learn of more grand opening plans and promotions at
IKEA-USA.com/Memphis," Ikea stated in a release.
