Dr. Catherine Martin, professor of English at the University of Memphis, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant for research at the University of Regensburg, Germany, for the 2014-2015 academic year.
The Fulbright Program offers highly competitive, merit-based grants for international educational exchange. Under the Fulbright Program, competitively selected U.S. citizens may become eligible for scholarships to study, conduct research, or exercise their talents abroad; and citizens of other countries may qualify to do the same in the United States.
Dr. Martin's research project is “Proteus Unbound: Literary Foundations of the Scientific Imagination, Kepler, Montaigne, Bacon.”
