Art by Design highlights work of local interior designers

"Art by Design," presented by IBERIABANK, is a unique, three-day event series to raise money for the arts in Memphis. The event will bring together a dozen of the city's most sought-after interior designers to create one-of-a-kind "vignettes" within a gallery showroom.

The event -- including parties and programs -- runs from Thursday, April 28 through Saturday, April 30 – all taking place at Propcellar (2585 Summer Ave., adjacent to the Broad Avenue Arts District).

The first experience is a VIP dinner on Thursday at 6pm. Guests will have first access to the designer showcase with an “on-site” dinner at Propcellar – a vintage furniture and décor emporium on Summer Avenue. The VIP cocktail party the following evening kicks off the public opening of the Art by Design Showcase. Guests can stroll the exhibition while enjoying drinks, hors d'oeuvres and live music. General admission is available on Saturday from 10am to 6pm; New York-based artists and design expert Hunt Slonem will give a talk at 4pm.

The cost to attend the Saturday event will be $20 per person.
