Watch this: The Edge of Memphis is no longer on the fringe

As the "heart of Memphis, the Edge of downtown," the Edge district has been an intersection of industry and culture since the city's earliest days. The district has a rich history as home to entrepreneurs and craftsmen, and the trend continues today with new investments from local makers.
"Timing is everything, and right now we are in the process of building up a vibrant community here in the Edge district," says Bertram Williams of The Dizzy Bird. "You got to have a little room to produce. Here there is an opportunity for people to come and find a place to develop an idea."

"We need to have a beautiful place, a livable place, a safe place, an enjoyable, fun place to live. The edge is a real place to bind that concept together and make it real," says Ellen Roberds of Livable Memphis.
