What’s happening: Early bird prices are available until Monday, Sept. 30, for Conservation Through Art: Fête in the Field, which raises funds for both the arts and outdoors in Memphis. ARTSmemphis and Ducks Unlimited collaborate on the event, with this year’s iteration being sponsored by Regions Bank.
Conservation Through Art: Fête in the Field is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Foxfield.
What it is: The 2024 Conservation Through Art gala, itself a biennial event, will include art and outdoor festivities, culinary treats, craft cocktails, and more. A live auction will offer access to unique outdoor and art experiences, and The Neon Mooners will perform classic 1980s and 90s country songs atop the Overton Park Shell on Wheels. The event will also honor Chef Kelly English, executive chef and owner of Restaurant Iris, The Second Line, Fino's Italian Deli, and Iris, etc. Catering.
Why it’s important: “Ducks Unlimited is grateful for Billy Dunavant’s vision to bring together the best of arts and conservation supporters in Memphis through this partnership that has raised more than $7 million since 2005,” says Adam Putnam, CEO of Ducks Unlimited. “The funding Ducks Unlimited receives from the Conservation Through Art program benefits wetlands conservation efforts in our own backyard, anchored by the new Ducks Unlimited Park at Big River Crossing.”
How to attend: Tickets for the event are available online – and if purchased before Monday, Sept. 30, available at early bird prices for $195 each. Visit

What they’re saying: "Conservation Through Art has been transformative for our arts community, enabling ARTSmemphis to provide funding and resources to 65+ organizations and artists,” says Elizabeth Rouse, president and CEO of ARTSmemphis. “Our shared, Memphis-rooted mission continues with an exciting future, and we are proud to announce that our 2024 honoree is Chef Kelly English. As an entrepreneur and arts champion, English’s commitment to Memphis and giving spirit is representative of the purpose of Conservation Through Art.”
Foxfield is a farm located near TN-385 and Forest Hill-Irene Road, the exact location of which is revealed once tickets are purchased.
