Tamara Cunningham

Tamara Cunningham began writing in second grade. She wrote for the Tri-State Defender and Memphis Times while pursuing a degree in communications from the University of Memphis. She then married, had and homeschooled two children, and operated a farm but maintained her dream to return to reporting. Cunningham is a resident of North Memphis and graduate of the second High Ground News Community Correspondents program, which trains everyday Memphians from underserved communities in the basics of community-based reporting. Ecclesiastes 3:7
