Brandis Leverette

Brandis Leverette was born and raised in Flint, MI and moved to Memphis in 2007. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lambuth University and a Master’s in Urban Education from Union University. Leverette is a former educator and ordained minister. He and his wife, Joy, have been married for 13 years and have two daughters. Leverette is a graduate of the second High Ground News Community Correspondents program, which trains everyday Memphians from underserved communities in the basics of community-based reporting.
