Whiskey festival debuts Downtown

The inaugural TN Whiskey Festival lands in Memphis later this month. The  Festival was organized to promote the growth of craft distilling in the state. Festival organizers invite distillers to present their product and meet with whiskey enthusiasts as an opportunity to express their passion for their products and the industry.

On Friday, October 23 from 6pm to 10pm, the TN Whiskey Festival will setup a tent on the property of the Artspace South Main Lofts project at 138 St Paul Avenue and offer whiskey tastings. The first 350 attendees will receive a souvenir 2015 TN Whiskey Festival tasting glass for sampling the select eight distillers whose product will be featured.   For non-whiskey tasters, there will be a cash bar available to sample signature cocktails or a High Cotton Brewery featured brew.

The inaugural TN Whiskey Tasting will benefit the HArt Gallery Tennessee and the South Main Artspace Lofts project with proceeds being donated to each organization.

“We have been supporting HArt Gallery in Chattanooga for a number of years”, said TWF Executive Director Jay Heavilon.  “ With the HArt Gallery expanding its mission of serving the homeless and other non traditional artists in Memphis, we are excited to be bringing the Tennessee Whiskey Festival to Memphis”.

Early bird tickets are on sale for $20 and can be found at tnwhiskeyfestival.com.
